OEM Headlights

The Pre-facelift K11 came with Lens optic style headlights as standard. These are the same kind fitted to most cars of the era that the K11 was around in Australia, but since then, manufacturers have fallen out of favour with this type of light reflection. Reflector headlights (such as the DEPO headlights) are a desirable replacement for the OEM items.

Crystal DEPO Headlights for pre-facelift K11

DEPO manufacture reflector style headlights for the K11, which come in both silver and black varieties. The quality of these headlights are sub-standard compared to the OEM headlights however they're often greatly sought after still because of their visual appeal thanks to their use of a clear lens with a reflector to project the light. The black DEPO lights have black surroundings where the light is not reflected off.

The DEPO crystal lights imported into Australia are designed for right hand drive, and as such they shine moreso onto oncoming traffic. Because of this they aren't ADR compliant and as such, make the car unroadworthy.

While the construction of the DEPO units and the plastics have come under scrutiny, there has also been some speculation that some of the DEPO lights use plastic lenses rather than glass ones like those used in the OEM unit.
