Air Conditioning Air conditioning was a factory fitted option on most K11 Micras sold in Australia. The LX 2 door in particular was sold without Aircon stock and it could be a dealer fitted option. Post-Factory Fitment Retrofitting airconditioning to a Micra involves a lot of work and should only be undertaken if you are competent with stripping a dashboard out. The following parts are required: * Condensor * Evaporator * Receiver/Dryer * All associated low and high pressure gas lines * Alternator bracket and bolts both top and bottom * Aircon compressor * Aircon compressor and alternator belt tensioner The mounting system of the alternator is different in aircon and non-aircon equipped micras. In the aircon versions, the alternator is mounted up high, almost level with the rocker cover, where in the non-aircon verisons, its mounted down low where the aircon compressor would exist. Because of this there are two different alternator belts available if you need to replace them. One for aircon that shares the belt with the Aircon compressor and the other is just for the alternator on its own. Re-gassing the system * Refrigerant: R12 * Quantity: 650-750 Grams
